Story

Cut From The Same Cloth

Artfully designed. Ethically made. Worn with purpose.

Cut From The Same Cloth is a sustainable women’s clothing brand rooted in artistry, intention, and individuality. Every piece we create is made-to-order in Seattle, WA—a conscious departure from fast fashion and overproduction. We believe clothing should not only make you feel something, it should mean something.

Our Mission

We exist to challenge the status quo of the fashion industry—replacing mass production with slow, thoughtful design. Sustainability isn't just a buzzword for us—it's our foundation. We use organic, GOTS- and OEKO-TEX-certified fabrics, recycle whenever possible, and keep waste minimal by crafting only what’s needed.

From sculptural denim to poetic graphic tees, our collections are an exploration of emotion, identity, and self-expression. Clothing isn’t just what we wear—it’s a reflection of who we are.

The Founder’s Story

Lauren Remesi – Artist. Patternmaker. Storyteller.

Cut From The Same Cloth began at a kitchen table, surrounded by bolts of fabric, late-night sketches, and a dream.

Founder Lauren Remesi is a self-taught designer with a background in art and an eye for the expressive. Her journey into fashion didn’t start in a boardroom—it started in childhood, creating one-of-a-kind outfits for her Barbies. Years later, she would teach herself to sew, draft patterns, and bring her vision to life—one garment at a time.

In 2015, Lauren founded Cut From The Same Cloth to build what she couldn’t find: clothes that were expressive, artful, and ethical. What began as a creative outlet became a calling—to help women dress not just their bodies, but their souls.

Lauren lives with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that deepened her understanding of comfort, functionality, and self-empowerment. Her designs reflect that philosophy—allowing women to feel powerful, comfortable, and completely themselves.

Made With Meaning

We don’t follow trends. We tell stories—through color, fabric, silhouette, and soul.

Every piece is cut, sewn, and sent from Seattle with care. Some are made just for you. Some are kept in small batches for local pop-ups. None are mass-produced. Because you’re not.
